The “Un sous-marin avec ça ?” initiative : A project to combat food insecurity
On March 20, a dozen participants in an employment integration project supervised by the Oboulo organization will make fifty submarines for vulnerable people in the Granby area. Indeed, by implementing this project, participants are realizing their goal of citizen participation and empowerment by working on an important issue in our community. Accompanied by Services Oboulo staff, this group worked for several weeks to select a project that was close to their hearts, plan it and do everything they could to make it a reality. The group has also teamed up with the Coalition Impact de rue Haute-Yamaska team of street workers to distribute meals to those most in need. Special thanks to Maxi Granby, St-Jude for their generosity. Thanks to their invaluable collaboration, the participants were able to complete a project that lived up to their ambitions.
